Kevin Pallot

Kevin Pallot is a Jersey-born singer songwriter and a firm favourite on the island for his natural storytelling lyrics and engaging music. Kevin is an artist, a musician and a teacher. When performing he can often be seen guitar in hand and kick drum on foot.

After completing a Fine Art Degree, Kevin travelled extensively for two years. He grew in confidence busking on the streets of Sydney, Melbourne and Aukland, and returned home with many stories to tell. In 2005, Kevin first realised his dream of bringing together some of Jerseys best accompanists to form the aptly named Pinnacles as his backing band. In 2006, Kevin released his debut album, “Let Yourself Fall” which was recorded live at the Jersey Arts Centre.

In 2008, Kevin was selected to support Joan Armatrading at the Jersey Opera House. Other major artists he has supported include Deacon Blue, Midge Ure, Derrin Nauendorf, Nerina Pallot and Benjamin Francis Leftwich.

His latest single, The Soldier, tells the story of a veteran of World War Two and the experiences he encountered during the war. He is now a Chelsea Pensioner and Kevin met him after painting his portrait.

You can buy the single on iTunes with half the profits split between the Chelsea Pensioners and the British Red Cross

In June 2016, Kevin will also be performing at the Sark Folk Festival and will support Declan O’Rourke at the Jersey Arts Centre.
